TOPIC: Cooks Bay Pike Action

Cooks Bay Pike Action 5 years 1 month ago #247

August 19th, 2012 Cooks Bay, Lake Simcoe

Me & a few buddies headed out for some pike on sunday. We fished Gilford side. Morning was slow, We began the morning fishing in 18-20 FOW like everyone around was but there was no results, we decided to move into shallower water & at around 9:30am. Wojtek hooked into the first fish of the day.

Fish was caught in 13 FOW, using a green/yellow spinnerbait.

We fished 10-15 FOW for the remainder of the day, Marcin caught the second pike shortly after.

Also caught using a green/yellow spinnerbait.

Around 10:30am I hooked into my first pike that day.

Caught using a #5 Blue Fox spinner with a silver shaft and a orange body. The fish was 30" & weighed 7Lbs.

Followed by:

In the end, 10 hours, 14 pike, few small bass.

Water was busy with lots of anglers out and about.. ... Another Great Day out on The Water !
