Headed to the famous Lake Simcoe for First Ice Lakers ! The was a solid 4"- 5" of Black Ice. Morning started off great I was marking lots of fish in 110 FOW.

My buddy landed 2 lakers by 8:30 am. First on a pearl colored lipless crankbait and second on a 2.5" white tube.

There where a lot of chasers but not many commited to the strike.
At 11am I walked over and drilled a hole in 95 FOW marked fish right away within 2 min i landed a 10lb laker.

Then I hooked into a Monster 14lb Lake Trout. Slammed my pearl colored Rapala Clacklin' Rap.

All in All it was a great start to break in the Hardwater season.
